The Three Degrees of Reiki

There are three different degrees for reiki. You do not need to learn the 3 degrees to learn reiki. If you wish to self-treat or heal other individuals you can learn stop at the 1st degree.

1st Degree

With this degree a person will be taught the various hand positions for self-treatment as well as treatment of other people. Individuals learn about entire body treatment and also spot treatments. The reiki master might also teach reiki background and reiki principles.

2nd Degree

With this degree the actual reiki symbols are learned. Students will learn how to utilize the symbols and learn about distant healing.

3rd Degree

This particular degree is for those wishing to advance to reiki master. The master symbol will be taught and the method for reiki attunements.
